PH Government Set To Acquire New Missles Made In Israel
PH GOVERNMENT – The Philippine Government is set to purchase new missiles from Israel.
“Pagka bumili ka sa China o maybe Russia, magsali ka sa embargo, you cannot trade with America,” said Duterte.
Based on a report from Philstar, the Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana revealed that the country is set to buy more missiles from Israel.
The PH government will purchase Derby (SPYDER) mobile-air defense system and Surface-to-air Python.
The missiles were sold at Rafael Advanced Defense System which is Israel’s defense technology firm.
According to the report, Defin Lorenzana stated that he was not sure yet of how many missiles should the government requests to buy.
In 2018, the Philippine Navy bought the Spike ER (Extended Range) from Israel. It is a surface-to-surface missiles that were now installed in the multi-purpose attack craft.
Based on the report, the Philippine Navy tested the missiles they purchased last August at the naval drill in Limay, Bataan.
The ER missiles from Israel were installed on Navy’s gunboat. It war weapon could hit a target from six kilometers away.
The PH government were preparing their weapons in case of a war like the incident that happened in Zamboanga City.
