Authorities Arrested Priest, 1 Other in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Bacoor, Cavite
PRIEST – The authorities arrested a priest and another person in a drug buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite.
The campaign against drugs is continuously heightened now. Cleaning the Philippines from its presence is one of the staunch promises of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Since the Duterte Administration began, lots of personalities involved and accused of involvement in its trade were arrested. The authorities conduct operations in target areas.
Recently, a drug buy-bust operation was conducted in Bacoor City, Cavite and the authorities arrested a priest and another person.
Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, SPO1 Christian Rosales expressed that a joint operation of the Bacoor City Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) was conducted in Tagumpay Compound, Tabing Dagat, Barangay Alima.
The padre, who was the target of the operation, allegedly sold illegal substance worth Php 200.00. Another person known as alias Perling was also nabbed by the authorities.
Based on the report, the padre is known in the barangay for the same accusations that led to the operation conducted being him as the target.
Reportedly, he was a former member of Catholic Church for England and Wales and currently a part of the Sacred Order of St. Michael.
