SAF 44 Day of Remembrance Held at Camp Bagong Diwa
The National Day of Remembrance for SAF 44 was held at Camp Bagong Diwa wherein PNP chief Oscar Albayalde will be the guest of honor.
On Friday (January 25, 2019), Mamasapano encounter is being commemorated in remembrance of SAF 44.
The Day of National Remembrance is now being held at the headquarters of Special Action Force at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
The activity will be conducted at the actual memorial of SAF 44 that started with a mass followed by wreath laying ceremony and commemoration program.
PNP chief Oscar Albayalde will be the guest of honor and speaker for the 4th anniversary of SAF 44 heroism.
Mamasapano clash was an incident happened during a police operation on January 25, 2015, wherein 44 SAF personnel were killed during the encounter.
The police operation called “Oplan Exodus” successfully killed Marwan but a bloody encounter left 44 SAF, 18 MILF, and 5 BIFF dead.
