MARINA’s Attention Called by Concerned Netizens Over Increasing Cases of Missing Pinoy Seafarers
A concerned netizen is now calling the attention of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) over the increasing numbers of missing Pinoy seafarers.
Over the past few weeks, the increasing numbers of missing Filipino seafarers has been one of the most controversial topics in the country.
Five Pinoy seafarers went missing after abandoning the Panamanian-flagged vessel after it caught fire on New Year’s Eve.
The agency has already conduct search and rescue operations for the missing seafarers but still failed to find them.
Recently, a Facebook user named Patricia Ocampo has called the attention of Maritime Industry Authority regarding the consecutive loss of the Filipino seafarers.
Ocampo called the attention of MARINA to conduct further investigation regarding the unusual incident.
The lady netizen has also expressed her concern regarding the escalating cases of missing Filipino sea workers.
