PACQUIAO – A video of Senator Manny Pacquiao and American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the Warriors-Lakers NBA game crossed the social media.
One of the most-awaited fight in the international boxing arena is the rematch of Filipino boxing champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.
In May 2015, Pacman and Mayweather had a match which was dubbed as the Fight of the Century. It was held in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mayweather won the match.
Recently, Pacman and Mayweather Jr. crossed paths again but not in the boxing ring. They saw each other at the NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.
A video of Sen. Pacquiao and Mayweather at the NBA game was posted on the Twitter page of the Filipino boxing champ. It could be seen in the clip that the Filipino boxer tapped the back of the American boxer.
Pacman and Mayweather exchanged smiles before the Filipino boxing champ continued on his way. Here’s the video:
Floyd Mayweather Jr. was also one of those prominent personalities who watched the recent fight of the boxer-turned-senator against Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The American boxer was seated in a premium seat on the ringside watching the PacBroner match. Pacman was in a defense match against Broner. It hooked the world and tickets were sold-out.
The Filipino boxing champ successfully defended his WBA Welterweight World title. His victory ignited the anticipations on his rematch against Mayweather.
On the part of the American boxer, his camp clarified that it is not going to happen. Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather’s promotional company, revealed the reason why the rematch is not happening.
