Remains of Maldives Couple Brought Home To Laguna

MALDIVES COUPLE REMAINS – The remains of the late couple Leomer and Erika Joyce Lagradilla were brought home to Laguna.

A lot of people were saddened by what happened to newly-wed couple Leomer and Erika Joyce Lagradilla while they were in Maldives. The Filipino couple drowned in Maldives, specifically off Dhiffushi Island.

Leomer and Erika just married last December 18, 2018. They were high school sweethearts whose relationship managed to survive and grow deeper in time and despite distance.

The couple were both nurses – Leomer in Singapore while Erika in Riyadh. Both of them are breadwinners of their families.

On January 9, 2019, the newly-wed flew to Maldives for their honeymoon. Unexpectedly, their trip abroad led to the demise of both Leomer and Erika.

The Filipino couple drowned in Maldives. They were reportedly rescued and brought to the local hospital but were declared dead on arrival. Around Php 1.2 million was needed to bring their remains home to the Philippines.

Recently, the Maldives couple’s remains arrived in PH and were brought to Laguna.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the bodies of the couple arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Saturday, 3:26 pm.

The families of Leomer and Erika Joyce were in tears upon seeing the remains of the couple. It was 8:40 in the evening when the remains of the Maldives couple arrived in Laguna.

Based on the report, the remains of Erika Joyce Lagradilla was set to be taken to her residence in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. Her remains are set to be brought to the home of her husband, Leomer, on Wednesday.

The couple’s interment is scheduled on January 26, 2019.
