Rebecca Buena, First Voter To Cast Ballot in Mock Polls at Toro Hills
Rebecca Buena of Barangay Bahay Toro is the first voter to arrive at Toro Hills Elementary and to cast her ballot for the mock elections.
On Saturday (January 19, 2019), the Commission on Elections (Comelec) held mock elections in 60 different areas in the country.
Brgy. Bahay Toro resident Rebecca Buena is the first voter to cast ballot in the mock polls at Toro Hills.
Buena quickly verified by the Voter Registration Verification System after pressing her thumb on the scanner.
The lady voter only took around five minutes to be verified with the automated system and get her ballot.
The mock polls have been conducted throughout the Philippines as a preparation for the May 2019 elections.

The mock elections aim to check the security features, accuracy, and functionality of the automated electoral system.
Comelec will use about 90 vote counting machines in the polling centers starting 6am to 12noon.
