Angel Locsin talks about her supposed to be ‘Darna’ movie
Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin revealed a few things about her supposed to be ‘Darna‘ movie.
Angel has already portrayed the role of the iconic Pinay superhero in the past. However, it was just on TV series when she was still in the Kapuso network.
When she transferred to ABS-CBN, one of her major projects is the Darna movie. On the other hand, it was not push through because of issues concerning her health.
Then, the role was given to Liza Soberano.
During the press conference for her new TV series The General’s Daughter, Angel Locsin shared a few details about her canceled Darna movie.
She said that for more tha five years she has not done any soap opera because it was part of her agreement with ABS-CBN management.
Angel was not allowed to do any teleserye as she will be doing Darna.
Dahil umabot nga po tayo ng lampas limang taon yata, yung preparation ng Darna, nadelay nang nadelay. Though nakakagawa ako ng guestings, ng pelikula, pero yung teleserye, not allowed.At may agreement naman po kami sa ganun kasi mahirap. Very physical at saka yung schedule na kailangan, medyo challenge kaya natagalan nga siya,” she shared.
Another thing she revealed was the role she has been wanting to portray in a Darna movie.
“Sinabi ko naman talaga sa kanila noon pa na baka it’s time na ibigay sa iba (Darna role). Nagsabi pa nga ako na gusto ko maging Valentina noon, ayaw nila. Hindi nila tinanggap. Bago pa ito, bago pa namin i-announce na gagawin ang Darna sa ABS-CBN,” Angel Locsin shared, based on PEP’s report.
