NAIA Janitor Returns Envelope With US Dollar Money

Envelope Containing US Dollar Money Found in an Exchange Counter Returned by NAIA Janitor

NAIA JANITOR – Jeffrey Almoguerra, a janitor of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), returned the envelope containing US dollar money.

Undeniably, acts of kindness, honesty, and compassion are among the most heart-melting things that we can ever witness in our lifetime. These prove that humanity is alive and goodness never fails.

Recently, an employee of an airport in Manila exhibited an act of honesty that is truly worth-emulating. This employee showed that one can still be very honest even in the face of a big temptation and no other person is looking.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, this employee is Jeffrey Almoguerra, a NAIA janitor who returned the envelope he found at a currency exchange counter. It contained US dollar money.

According to the report, the 30-year-old NAIA janitor right away reported the envelope he found.

Citing PIA, the enveloped reportedly contained a “significant amount” of money but the authorities prefer not to reveal the amount as the owner has not claimed it yet.

According to Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Ed Monreal, he has already made an order for the NAIA janitor to be included in the list of employees to receive an award this February.

The MIAA will give the award in the flag-raising ceremony next month. The MIAA General Manager expressed that they do it as they want everyone in their organization “to emulate simple yet noble deeds”.

Based on the report, Monreal encouraged all the service contractors to recognize the simple achievement of the employees and to take care of them.

“We want goodness and honesty to become viral in NAIA,” he expressed.
