Company Owner in Bulacan Arrested after Selling the Donations for Yolanda Victims
The authorities discovered a certain company in Guiguinto, Bulacan selling the donation meant for the Super Typhoon Yolanda victims.
Francis Lescana, the owner of company “Eco Auction” has been arrested during an entrapment operation at Guiguinto, Bulacan.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) released an intelligence report stating that the company was selling items from the Bureau of Customs including the donations for the victims of Yolanda.
NBI and the Custom personnel caught the company attempting to transfer the contraband for selling.
Eco Auction is a company accredited by the Bureau of Customs who promised to conduct an investigation regarding the incident.
NBI Special Action Unit Special Agent Kristine Dela Cruz said that the company contributes to the hardships of less-fortunate Filipinos who really need the donation.
Super Typhoon Yolanda devastated the Philippines last November 2013 that killed thousands of Filipino people.
