Maldives Honeymooner Clarifies Why She Revealed Her Experience During Stay in Island

The Filipino couple drowned in Maldives were identified as Leomer and Erika Joyce Lagradilla. They just married last December 18, 2018 and flew to the island for their honeymoon.
Unfortunately, the Lagradilla couple drowned in Maldives. They were brought to the nearest local hospital but they were pronounced dead on arrival.
The recent update from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) stated that the remains of the Filipino couple drowned in Maldives were flown to Sri Lanka. They will be embalmed before flying back to the Philippines.

“In just a split second, we could no longer feel the sand. I was in panic. I thought we were going to die. Darren [her husband] was trying his best to push me near the shore,” she stated.
Sharing her experience, the Maldives honeymooner further stated that she heard her husband shouting and telling her to float. She started to pray to the Lord to spare them from the incident.
“I endlessly prayed and continued floating, and then all of a sudden, I felt Darren’s hands on my shoulder, we were back at the shore,” she stated.
The netizen ended her post stressing that while she thought everything was hopeless, God saved them.

Recently, Hazel Castelo took to the social media another post thanking Philnews.ph and clarifying her reason for revealing her experience in the island. It is amid the reluctance of many people to visit the island.
In her post, the Maldives honeymooner clarified that Maldives is a “very beautiful country” and they would love to be back.
According to her, the incident happened on their first day there and the rest of the days were great. She stressed that everyone should just extra careful and pray at all times.
“The reason why I shared our story is to testify that no matter how hard the circumstance we are in, we have our God to spare us from the uncertainty of this world,” Hazel wrote.
