Davao Oriental Hit by 3 Earthquakes Today (January 17, 2019)

EARTHQUAKES – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded three(3) quakes in Davao Oriental today, January 17, 2019.

Most of the time, quakes hit with no prior signs. Recently, several places in and out of the Philippines were shaken by quakes of different magnitudes.

One of the latest quakes recorded by Phivolcs is the 7.1 magnitude quake in Davao Oriental. There were expected aftershocks due to the said quake and a tsunami advisory was released.

Recently, Phivolcs recorded three(3) quakes in a part of Davao Oriental Today, January 17, 2019. Davao Oriental was hit by earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.1 and 2.8.

Earthquakes

According to Phivolcs, a 2.1 magnitude quake hit Davao Oriental today at 12:07 in the morning. It had a depth of 203 kilometers.

At 08:00 in the morning, another quake with the same magnitude hit Davao Oriental with a depth of 016 kilometers. It was followed by a 2.8 magnitude quake at 11:21 in the morning.

The third quake that hit Davao Oriental had a depth of 016 kilometers.
