Still Unidentified Persons Shot Cebu Councilor Rene Boy Dacalos Inside the Store of his Sibling
CEBU COUNCILOR – San Fernando Councilor Rene Boy Dacalos was shot by still unidentified persons aboard a motorcycle in his sibling’s store.
Previously, a Cebu inmate who is tagged to be related to Franz Sabalones, a man who confessed he’s involved in drugs, was shot by an unidentified person while aboard a patrol car.
The said inmate was identified as Tocelio Dibalucos Ababon. He was supposedly on his way to the hearing of the case when the incident that took his life happened.
Recently, another person who allegedly has a connection with Sabalones was shot in Cebu.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, San Fernando, Cebu Councilor Rene Boy Dacalos was shot by a riding-in-tandem while inside the store of his sibling in Barangay Poblacion.
According to the police, they are looking into the possibility that the case is related to politics, business, or his alleged involvement in drugs. They confirmed that he is a “high value target”.
Councilor Dacalos was brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Based on the report, he was encouraged several times to surrender to Oplan Tokhang following his inclusion in the drug matrix of the police.
Leonora, the wife of the late councilor, confirmed that her husband and Sabalones are best of friends but denied that the councilor is involved in drugs.
