PACC Names 3 Duterte Cabinet Members Under Investigation
DUTERTE CABINET MEMBERS – The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) named the three(3) members of the cabinet of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who are under investigation.
Two of the most prominent campaign of the Duterte administration is against drugs and corruption. Both the former and the latter is currently ongoing.
Under the presidency of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, several people who were linked to corruption issues were removed from their posts or were asked to resign.
Recently, a news report about Duterte cabinet members being under investigation by the PACC crossed the surface.
Based on a news report on Remate, the PACC named the three(3) Duterte cabinet members who are currently under investigation. They are the following:
- Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III
- Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA) Director Isidro Lapeña
- National Commission on Indigenous People Chairperson Atty. Leonor Quintayao
According to PACC Commissioner Atty. Manuelito Luna, the investigation on the Labor Secretary started when they received complaints from agency owners.
With regards to Lapeña, the controversial drugs shipment is the reason why he is being investigated while Atty. Quintayao is being probed on the alleged neglect of duty.
Based on the report, the investigation on the three(3) Duterte cabinet members started last year and the PACC targets to finish it by February.
The anti-corruption agency is reportedly set to submit their recommendations to Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte once they are done with their investigation.
