Black Nazarene’s Traslacion 2019 To Be Secured By Over 9,000 Combined Police & Military
More than 9,000 mixed police and military personnel were tasked to secure the procession of the Black Nazarene on upcoming Traslacion 2019.
The Philippine government was already making actions and efforts in preparation for the most-awaited feast of the Black Nazarene.
The annual procession of the wooden image, which usually lasts 20 hours, venerates millions of Filipino devotees.
The feast of the Black Nazarene or also known as Traslacion was usually held every January 9 of every year from Intramuros heading to the Minor Basilica.
The authorities were implementing maximum security during the annual religious event to ensure the safety of the public from any terrorist activities.
Recently, a Facebook user named Rex Remitio of CNN reported that more than 9,000 combined police and military personnel will secure the Traslacion this year.
The police authorities warned the public that they will immediately arrest anyone who will violate the rules and regulations.
The law enforcers will arrest anyone drinking alcoholic drinks or using illegal drugs during the Black Nazarene’s procession on Wednesday (January 9, 2019).
