Suspect in Batocabe slay case Henry Yuson Surrendered to authorities
Henry Yuson, the suspect in Batocabe slay case has surrendered to authorities, a report says.
A shocking incident happened last December 22, 2018, when AKO Bicol Rep. Rodel Batocabe was attacked and shot by at least 6 unidentified gunmen.
The representative is one of the supposed candidates for Daraga Mayor in 2019 midterm elections.
Based on a previous report, incumbent Daraga Mayor Carlwyn Baldo appears to be the mastermind of the crime.
In spite of what happened, the son of Batocabe stated that this will not hinder them to pursue politics.
Amid this issue, Mayor Baldo has not released his official statement yet regarding the Batocabe slay case.
A recent report from the Twitter post of DZRH News stated that one of the suspect has already surrendered to the police.
Suspect Henry Yuson is now in the hands of the authorities, according to the report.
Meanwhile, based on ABS-CBN’s report, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panerlo stated that the suspects will have a day in court.
“Daraga, Albay Mayor Carlwyn Baldo, together with all others tagged as suspects of the aforesaid murder, will have their day in court where they can refute the charges hurled against them,” he said.
He also assured that the suspects will be persecuted as soon as possible.
“While they too are afforded the Constitutional presumption of innocence and consequently will be accorded due process, the government shall nonetheless prosecute them for the heinous crime without delay,”
