Latest Updates About Bagyong Usman Released by PAGASA (December 27)
The state weather bureau PAGASA released the newest and the latest updates about Bagyong Usman affecting the country’s weather condition.
On Thursday (December 27, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather conditions in the country.
PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Usman maintained its strength as it continues to move west-northwestward.
Usman was last spotted at 435 kilometers east of Guiuan, eastern Samar and expected to intensify before making a landfall over Eastern Samar on Friday (December 28, 2018).
The tropical depression has maximum sustained winds of 55 Kilometers Per Hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 55 kph moving 20 kph at a west-northwest direction.
The weather agency has also raised Tropical cyclone warning signal (TCWS) No. 1 in the following areas:
- Sorsogon
- Masbate
- Ticao Island
- Eastern Samar
- Northern Samar
- Samar
- Biliran
- Leyte
- Southern Leyte
- Northern Cebu
- Camotes Islands
- Dinagat Island
Bagyong Usmas was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday (December 31, 2018).
The weather bureau also warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the northern Luzon, eastern section of southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao would be rough.
Moderate to rough surrounding waters is expected over the remaining parts of the country.
