In line with the bullying issue in the campus, Ateneo de Manila moves the resumption of classes.
ATENEO DE MANILA – The Ateneo de Manila decided to move the resumption of classes in the Junior High School level over the bullying issue inside the campus.
Recently, Ateneo’s name went viral on social media due to the bullying incident involving its students. One of those involved was identified as Joaquin Montes.
Videos of Joaquin bullying another student of Ateneo took the social media by storm and elicited negative feedback from the netizens. Many were disappointed by the actions of the Taekwondo practitioner.
In line with the bullying issue in the campus, Ateneo has decided to move the resumption of classes in the Junior High School level.
Based on a post in the Twitter page of Manila Bulletin News, Ateneo de Manila moved the resumption of classes in JHS from January 3 to January 7, 2019.
The moving of the resumption of classes in Ateneo’s JHS department is to give time to the admin, faculty, and staff of the school to implement policies that will address the issue.
