Robin Ahlenius was able to capture video footage of the atmospheric optical phenomenon called “Parhelion”.

The sun refraction phenomenon filmed by Robin Ahlenius was popularly known as “Sundog”.

Ahlenius’ video shows three suns shining at the same time, which is a very rare event that can be witnessed by human.

Parhelion is a natural event consisting refraction in one or two parts due to ice crystal present in the atmosphere.

Mocksun is a member of the family of halos caused by the refraction of sunlight by ice crystals that usually appears with 22-degree halo. Sun dogs are best seen when the Sun is near the horizon.
