CATRIONA GRAY FLAWED ANSWER – The winning answer of Catriona Gray in Miss Universe 2018 is accordingly “flawed” and here is the reactions of Gretchen Ho and Moira Dela Torre to it.
In every beauty pageant, the question and answer portion had always been one of the most essential part in order to determine who should be the next queen to reign the universe.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach had this very remarkable answer during the Top 3’s Q & A with her “confidently beautiful with a heart” statement, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray noted a “silver lining” in her answer.
A part from Catriona’s winning answer when asked about how she would apply as a Miss Universe the most important lesson she learned in life is, “I would bring this aspect as a Miss Universe to see situations with a silver lining, and to assess where I could give something, where I could provide something as a spokesperson.”
Despite this beautiful answer, some netizens could quite find the beauty in it as there are those said that it was like Catriona’s answer is “flawed” and it was like she is “romanticizing poverty as resiliency and gratefulness”.
But Kapamilya female host Gretchen Ho and singer Moira Dela Torre reacted to this.
Gretchen wrote, “Daming hater. Pwede bang hayaan niyo na lang maenjoy ng mga Pinoy itong moment na ito?”
Meanwhile, Moira has indicated, “Luh sila kahit kay catriona may nahahanap na i-hate. I hope these “woke” people would stop using their being woke as permission to spread hate and unnecessary comments. To quote our Miss Universe, let’s stop fostering negativity!!!”
