Zeke Sarmenta Says Parents Romnick, Harlene Separation is “Different”

ZEKE SARMENTA – Young actress Zeke Sarmenta opens up about her parents Romnick Sarmenta and Harlene Bautista’s separation.

Ex-couple Romnick Sarmenta and Harlene Bautista recently decided to part ways after 19 years of being married.

Romnick and Harlene were blessed with five beautiful children including the Umaraw Umulan actress Zeke Sarmenta.

The 18-year-old actress is now having a time of her life by following the footsteps of her beloved mother and father’s showbiz career.

Based on a report from PEP, Zeke Sarmenta is one of the casts of Direk Joel Lamangan’s MMFF movie entry titled “Rainbow Sunset”. The movie is starred by veteran actors such as Eddie Garcia, Gloria Romero, and Sunshine Dizon.

The newbie actress expressed that she is pressured on her chosen career considering her parents were one of the country’s great actors.

“I also have that clear mind na yung pressure that both my parents are known actors, paano kung hindi ako to that standard?” she said.

Zeke Sarmenta said that her parents Romnic Sarmenta and Harlene Bautista advised her that she just have to be herself, have a good time and giving her best would be enough.

She also stated that her parents were very supportive of all her decisions even if she suddenly switch into another career and it would still be okay for them.

“Sabihin ko man na gusto kong mag-painting, mag-archery, papayag sila,” said Zeke.

Zeke Sarmenta already expected that there will be questions thrown at her regarding the separation of her parents Romnick Sarmenta and Harlene Bautista.

According to the report, she admitted that it’s a little different however their love towards their kids were just the same and that the ex-couple remained friends.

“For me, it’s different, but not in an emotional level.” she added.
