Broadway star Lea Salonga ranted against theatergoers who took photos and videos of the musical Waitress.

The said musical play, which features Filipina theater actress Joana Ampil, had a show in Manila just recently.

Lea is one of the celebrities who supported the show. On the other hand, she complained about the bad thing happened during the show.

Apparently, she got pissed off by other theatergoers.

It is a strict rule in theaters that taking photos and videos are prohibited while the play is going on.

However, Lea Salonga said that the head usher has taken screenshots of netizens’ post showing photos and videos of Waitress.

“Haaaaaaay, you idiotic photo takers breaking the rules at #WaitressMNL. Nakakahiya kayo. The head usher has taken screenshots of your accounts and corresponding photos (one in particular had the gall to use the official hashtag). Talino,” the singer-actress said.

In line with this, several netizens also expressed their anger toward those theatergoers who do not know how to follow the rules.

Twitter user @Joanabells23 said “Haaay naku, may pambili ng tickets, pero walang etiquette… libre naman yun ah?”

Another netizen related her own experience.

Twitter user @KADVega said “Meron din nyan yesterday at Aliw Theater, Liza Macuja’s Cinderella, nakaka istorbo yung light coming from her cellphone, ilang beses na pinagsabihan, medyo makapal muka.”

There were several netizens who lambasted that kind of act from theatergoers.

“Mga mukhang picture.. pucha ung iba tablet pa at ipad ang gamit pang picture.. why dont you just enjoy the concert using your EYES?!! bat kailangan mag picture.. kasi kailangan i brag sa kapit bahay at friend na ikaw nakapag concert ka at sila hindi.? Haaaayyy PILIPINO,” Twitter user @NickoCupideros.
