JESSY MENDIOLA PLANE HARASSMENT – The plane harassment of Jessy Mendiola last 2015 involving Enrique Gil was brought up, netizens lambasted actress for speaking up late.
Last 2015, actor Enrique Gil, who was drunk at that particular moment, reportedly harassed the actress Jessy Mendiola during a flight to London which caused a commotion. The actress’ mother even threatened to take legal action over the said plane harassment.
Gil apologized as he said, “I had some drinks sa plane, I mean, more than I should be having, so as a result things got out of hand. At dahil po doon, I want to apologize to my brothers and sisters from Star Magic. I sincerely apologize to Jessy, to JM (De Guzman, Jessy’s boyfriend) if ever I offended him in any way, I’m sorry.”
However, after 3 years, it was just recently when Jessy spoke about the issue. In an article from PEP, the actress talked about depression bringing the flight controversy which gathered various comments from the netizens.
In the report, bringing up the issue as she tackled depression, she said that one of the factors which added to her depression is the London flight incident involving the actor.
She shared, “Yes [bashing], plus yung mga bagay na nangyari sa akin before. May plane harassment, yung I had an ex before na mahirap to deal with, yung mga ganung bagay, very personal, nagpatung-patong siya.”
She further added that Enrique has not apologized to her personally but she is now fine and had moved on already. However, she did not deny that she felt harassed. Avoiding the issue, she just said, “Hindi ko alam. Baka stressed lang siya.”
