Seafood City Restaurant In Cebu Now Open In Manila

Cebu’s Isla Sugbu Seafood City Restaurant Brings “Dampa” Experience To Manila

SEADFOOD CITY – Isla Sugbu Seafood City, a restaurant in originated in Cebu, brings the next level “dampa” experience to Manila.

“Dampa” is a style wherein costumers would pick and buy seafood from a nearby market and ask the restaurant staff to cook the bought seafood the way they want it, may it be fried, grilled, etc. In their restaurant, however, diners can do it as much as they can, with as much seafood as they can consume as they combined “dampa” with “eat-all-you-can”, thus making the “paluto all-you-can” offer that they made.

The restaurant recently opened their branch at Venice Grand Canal Mall in Taguig. Kuya J Group president and chief executive officer Winglip Chang said that they are glad to bring the restaurant at Venice Grand Canal Mall. Chang added that they have always believed that the Seafood City brand will be welcome and have resounding success here in Metro Manila.

According to ABS-CBN News, Kuya J Group is behind the Kuya J chain and the Cebu-based restaurants Tsay Cheng Chinese Cuisine, Majestic Restaurant, and Grand Convention Center of Cebu. The company will also be bringing back the US fast food chain Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen to the Philippine market soon.

The price of the “paluto all-you-can” offer amounts to ₱1,300 per person for both lunch and dinner. The restaurant can seat more than 200 customers, occupying a large space at the mall. It has a market section where customers can pick fresh and live seafood, and a large kitchen that can accommodate large orders.  The restaurant did not limit themselves in seafood as chicken and pork are also available here.

As per the report, the staff members are around to assist customers in picking the seafood and recommend cooking methods. There is no fixed menu, apparently, but the restaurant offers mainly Asian cuisine like Filipino, Chinese, Japanese, and Singaporean.
