Angkas Buhay Motorcycle Ambulance Set to be Launched in the Philippines by Mid-2019
ANGKAS BUHAY – The Angkas Buhay service app is a motorcycle ambulance that is set to be launched by mid-2019 in the Philippines.
It was 2017 when motorcycle booking app Angkas started. They provide services to the commuters during traffic hours or emergency appointments.
Their services were stopped by the LTFRB because of some safety issues and just this September they are back with extra helpful service.
Angkas is set to launch their new service in mid-2019 called the Angkas Buhay. The new service provides fast emergency help and skilled paramedic drivers to treat patients right away.
On their comeback, the organization announced that they are looking for paramedic volunteers to drive the country’s first motorcycle ambulance service.
All volunteers have to go through an Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) training course to become a paramedic–drivers. After the training, they will be provided with “Ambucycles” and medical supplies stuff.
The Angkas paramedic-drivers role is to stabilize their patient before the secondary medical transport arrives.
According to the report, they will add an “Emergency” button in their service app for the patients to instantly reach their EMT drivers.
Based on the report, Angkas founder and CEO Angeline Tham stated they have already helped commuters to get away from traffic and now they get more progressive in providing service to people.
“Not only taking passengers where they need to go, but to hasten the arrival of medical attention for those needing urgent care… And now with Angkas Buhay, the platform can also be a means for saving lives,” she added.
The Angkas Buhay is seemingly really a beneficial service knowing expert paramedic will be scattered all over the cities to treat patients immediately.
