Still Unidentified Men Gunned Down Catmon, Malabon Kagawad Rodrigo Tambo
MALABON KAGAWAD – Barangay Kagawad Rodrigo Tambo of Catmon, Malabon City was gunned down by still unidentified men in a motorcycle.
Recently, another person connected in politics was added to the list of politicians who were gunned down unexpectedly by unidentified people.
Barangay Kagawad Rodrigo Tambo joined Tanauan City, Batangas Mayor Antonio Halili; General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote; Cavite Vice Mayor Alex Lubigan, and several others on the list.
Malabon Kagawad Rodrigo Tambo is the number one barangay kagawad in Catmon and he is a political officer of Mayor Antolin Oreta III.
Previously, it was reported that the Malabon Kagawad was attacked by unidentified men riding on a motorcycle. Recently, the authorities has released some information from the investigation conducted.
Based on a report on PhilStar, Police Officer 2 Mardelio Osting expressed that the 40-year-old kagawad was in the middle of a conversation with a barangay tanod when the incident happened along Dulong Hernandez Street.
According to Osting, two still unidentified men went to Malabon Kagawad Rodrigo Tambo and shot him in the chest. The witnesses claimed that the men were only wearing shorts and slippers when they gunned down Tambo.
Based on the report, the partner of the victim expressed to the authorities that there were no threats to the life of the barangay kagawad. Witnesses also believe that he is not involved in drugs as he has asthma.
Reportedly, Malabon Kagawad Tambo is not the first victim to have been gunned down in the city. In January 2016, Councilor Merlin Mañalac was attacked and less than two months after it two barangay councilors were also attacked.
