PAO Chief Persida Acosta Complains against Ang Probinsyano for Allegedly Using Agency’s Logo

ANG PROBINSYANO – The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta complained about Ang Probinsyano program for allegedly using their agency’s logo.

FPJAP show is a top-rating primetime series of the Kapamilya network, top-billed by Coco Martin playing the famous role SP02 Ricardo Dalisay.

The tv network responded by assuring the PNP that the characters, places, and incidents are purely fictitious. The FPJAP show explained that they have no intention to destroy an organization’s reputation or put any person on a negative light.

Another government personality also expressed her concern on the longest-running teleserye Ang Probinsyano.

Based on a report from Inquirer, the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta complained about the show for allegedly using their agency’s logo for their program.

“Ginamit ‘yung logo, ‘yan ang sinasabi ni Senator Ping eh, ‘yung paggamit ng mga insignia, ‘yung mga logo. Hindi naman pinagpaalam sa PAO iyan eh,” Acosta said.

Persida Acosta referred her statement to the previous warning of Senator Panfilo Lacson regarding the use of a government’s logo for the show is against the law.

According to the report, Persida Acosta stated that the Ang Probinsyano program should first ask permission before using the agency’s logo because there is a law that should be followed.

“Dapat ho pinagpaalam man lang ho iyon (paggamit ng logo) dahil may batas sa use of insignia,”  she added.

Acosta stated the FPJAP program scriptwriters should inquire on government offices first so that there should be no problem and no law will be violated in the future.
