Previously, the Kapamilya primetime TV series received criticism from PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde regarding the show’s portrayal of the image of police in the country.

In line with this, the ABS-CBN Management stated they have “no intention to smear the reputation of any organization or portray any person in a negative light.”

Coco’s reaction to this was his reiteration that all the characters and the story are just fiction.

Despite this, DILG, the agency leading the PNP, stated that they are considering to file a case against Ang Probinsyano. The basis of the agency is Article 179 of Revised Penal Code.

Regarding this issue, Coco’s friend, Vice Ganda also said a piece of his mind regarding the issue.

Based on the article published in PEP, the comedian-host said that it did not shock him when the criticism came out.

However, he stressed out the point that the action-drama series has long been stating that story and its characters are just fictional.

Vice Ganda said that he believes that it is just a show.

It’s Showtime host said.

He added that Ang Probinsyano is not attacking a particular government agency, based on the article.
