STAN LEE – In this article, we will have a series of list of Marvel Characters created by Marvel co-founder Stan Lee (C-D).

MARVEL CHARACTERS

As a tribute we will have a list of characters that he created or contributed to. This is a continuation of the list and it will summarize the characters from C-D.

Without further ado, here are the following Marvel characters (C-D):

C

  • Captain Marvel – First appeared in Marvel Super-Heroes #12 . There are seven people who took the mantle of Captain Marvel. The upcoming film Captain Marvel tells the story of Carol Danvers. The other characters are  Mar-Vell, Monica Rambeau, Genis-Vell, Phyla-Vell, Khn’nr, and Noh-Varr. Stan Lee created the first Captain Marvel.
  • Peggy Carter – First appeared in Tales of Suspense #77. She is the World War II love interest of Captain America and is a suppoeting character in books featuring Captain America.
  • Sharon Carter – First appeared in Tales of Suspense #75. Also known as Agent 13, She was initially the younger sister of Peggy Carter but was later adjusted to Peggy’s great-niece due to the unaging nature of comic book characters.
  • Cat-Man – Three people took the role of Cat-Man: Towshend Horgan, who first appeared in Daredevil #10; Sebastian Patane, who appeared in  Daredevil #157; and an unknown individual, who appeared in Code of Honor #3.
  • Chameleon – First appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #1 . His alter-ego is a Soviet citizen named Dmitri Smerdyakov. Chameleon uses makeup and elaborate costuming to impersonate his targets.
  • Circus of Crime – First appeared in Captain America Comics #5. The Circus of Crime is composed of:  Ringmaster, The Clown, Bruto the Strongman, Human Cannonball, The Great Gambonnos, Princess Python, and Live Wire.
  • Clea  – First appeared in Strange Tales #126 . Clea is the daughter of Umar and the niece of the demonic tyrant Dormammu, and also the disciple and lover of Docor Strange.
  • Clown – One of the members of the Circus of Crime. The three people who took the role are  Eliot Franklin, Half-brother, and an unnamed man.
  • Cobra – First appeared in Journey into Mystery #98. His alter-ego is Klaus Voorhees, who was a laboratory assistant, working with a professor trying to find a cure for various poisonous snake bites. A combination of a bite from a radioactive snake and the experimental anti-venom granted him super powers. His nephew Piet also took the role of Cobra.
  • Izzy Cohen – First appeared in Sgt. Fury and the Howling Commandos vol. 1 #1. Izzy is one of the many allies of Nick Fury who work together in battling the Nazi menace throughout World War 2.
  • The Collector – First appeared in The Avengers #28. Taneleer Tivan is one of the Elders of the Universe and is close to his fellow Elder En Dwi Gast (the Grandmaster). He apparently came to self-awareness billions of years ago, on the planet Cygnus X-1.
  • Crime Master – First appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #26. Crime Master is the professional-criminal type, and an enemy of Spider-Man. The known individuals who took the role are:  Nicholas Lewis Sr. (“Lucky Lewis”), Nicholas Lewis Jr., Bennett Brant, an imposter Crime Master, and an Inner Demon version.
  • Crimson Dynamo – First appeared in Tales of Suspense #46 . Many have took the role of Dynamo and is depicted to be a powered armor–wearing Russian or Soviet agent who have clashed with the superhero Iron Man over the course of his heroic career.
  • Crystal – First appeared in Fantastic Four #45. Crystal is a member of a fictional subspecies of humanity known as Inhumans and has a unique ability to control the four classical elements: air, earth, fire, and water.
  • Cyclops – A mutant and one of the members of the X-Men. He first appeared in The X-Men #1 . He has the ability to shoot energy beams from his eyes called “opic blasts”.
  • Cyttorak – First mentioned in Strange Tales I #124 and first appeared in Doctor Strange,Sorcerer Supreme #44. Cyttorak is a deity that powers Juggernaut through the artifact known as Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. He also provides indestructible bands (the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak) to Doctor Strange to use as a shield or to restrain enemies.

D

  • Daily Bugle – A newspaper company who first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #4. The Daily Bugle is prominently featurd in Spider-Man.
  • Daredevil – First appeared in Daredevil #1 . His alter-ego is Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who, due to the radioactive exposure, heightens his remaining senses beyond normal human ability and gives him a “radar sense”.
  • Death Stalker – first appeared in Daredevil #113 . There are two versions of Death Stalker, with the first one being Philip Wallace Sterling, an enemy of Daredevil. The second one is a Villans for Hire version who was hired by Purple Man to help him start his new criminal empire.
  • Destroyer – First appeared in Mystic Comics #6. Keen Marlow, Brian Falsworth, and Roger Aubrey took the role of Destroyer.
  • Diablo – First appeared in Fantastic Four vol. 1 #30. His alter-ego is Esteban Corazón de Ablo and is implied as an evil alchemist.
  • Doctor Strange – First appeared in Strange Tales #110. Stephen Strange was once an egotistical surgeon. After a car accident severely damages his hands and hinders his ability to perform surgery, he searches the globe for a way to repair them and encounters the Ancient One.
  • Doctor Doom – First appeared in The Fantastic Four #5 . Victor Von Doom is the rival of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four.
  • Doomsday Man – First appeared in Silver Surfer Vol. 1, #13 . He is the enemy of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and is nigh-invulnerable and superhumanly strong.
  • Dormammu – First appeared in Strange Tales #126 . Dormammu is one of the enemies of Doctor Strang and is described as “something worse than a demon”.
  • Dorrek VII – First appeared in Fantastic Four #18 . Dorrek a known ruler of the Skrull who is the father of Anelle, the father-in-law of Mar-Vell, and the grandfather of Hulkling.
  • Dragon Man – First appeared in Fantastic Four #35. Dragon Man is an artificial dragon-like humanoid android who was animated via alchemy.
  • Dredmund the Druid – First appeared in Strange Tales Vol. 1 #144. Dredmund has the ability to mesmerize and control the minds of victims by enhanced powers of hypnosis, from ingestion of various chemical elixirs and potions.
  • Doctor Druid – First appeared in Amazing Adventures #1. Doctor Druid has a variety of psionic abilities including telepathy which enables him to scan or project his thoughts to any mind on Earth, the ability to mesmerize minds less adept than his own, and the ability to perform mass hypnosis.
  • Dum Dum Dugan – First appeared in Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #1. He is an officer of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is one of the most experienced members of Nick Fury’s team, known for his marksmanship with rifles and impressive physique.
