Who could be the person/s Jed Madela is talking about when he said, “Magaling pero sama ng ugali”?
Jed Madela mentioned in a recent interview that there are those in the industry who are good performers but they lack good manners.
During the press conference for his major solo concert in Araneta Coliseum titled Higher than High: the 15th Anniversary Concert, he gave his observation regarding the new singers in the industry.
Based on the article published in PEP, the singer said that he noticed there were those who do not know how to show humility.
“May mga nakikita ako na sobrang gagaling ng mga talent nila at ang galing mag-perform pero behind the camera, ang sama ng ugali, they don’t know how to say good day,” he said.
Jed Madela mentioned this because of his experience. He said that it saddened him that there are those young singers who used to call him “kuya” and greet him every time they meet.
On the other hand, according to Jed some already acted that they did not notice him.
“Ang lungkot naman na higher than high na rin yung mga kilay nila. Sabi ko nalang sa sarili ko na baka hindi ako nakita, pero sa laki kong tao, hindi naman pwedeng hindi nila ako nakita,” the singer shared.
However, Jed shared that he feels a different kind of fulfillment being a mentor to aspiring and new singers in the industry.
For him, it is an overwhelming feeling to mentor those who are joining Tawag ng Tanghalan in It’s Showtime.
“Iba yung satisfaction na nakukuha ko bilang artist sa pagmementor ko sa mga baguhang singers. Behind the camera tahimik lang akong tao, nasa tabi tabi lang ako,” he said, based on the article.
