Recently, another court decision crossed the surface – the denial of the motion of the DOJ for the arrest of Sen. Trillanes. Malacañang has broken its silence on the matter.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN, in a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo stressed that the “Executive Branch has and will always bow down” to the law.

He also emphasized that Malacañang will not “unfairly appeal to the pity of the public” unlike what those people in the opposition are allegedly doing.

To this, Malacañang welcome the court’s affirmation of the proclamation of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to Panelo, it shows that the Palace is only implementing the law and is not into targeting its political critics.

Based on the report, the Presidential Spokesperson expressed that the Palace will leave the decision to the Department of Justice or the Office of the Solicitor General regarding the move over the matter.
