Kapamilya host Gretchen Ho comments about “biases” of hosts and journalists.

GRETCHEN HO – The prominent female host Gretchen Ho comments about “biases” when called out by a netizen on Twitter.

Just recently, the former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque became a guest in the late-night talk show Gandang Gabi Vice hosted by Kapamilya host and comedian Vice Ganda.

And surprised the media as filed for his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator in the 2019 elections running under the People’s Reform Party (PRP), which is the same party of the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.

With the guesting of the former spokesperson in the said show, one netizen from Twitter has commended it saying, “Vice Ganda’s interview with Harry Roque is the kind of showbiz that we need. Using the freedom to express to quiz politicians and officials and ask them frank questions on the way they acted in office. We need more of these shows.”

But another netizen commented to this calling out Gretchen Ho indicating that the prior netizen liked the episode because it was his “bias” and that people speak with “biases”.

To which Gretchen addressed as she wrote this as a reply, “We need hosts & journalists who ask the hard questions. Some will like the answers, others may not. Either way, it’s important to have these platforms & shows to keep our public officials in check. That’s the media’s responsibility in a democracy: to keep power in check.”

Meanwhile, from that point, another netizen commented, “For context, you’re from Davao. Should we assume the same bias from you as well???? Gretchen calls people out because they need to be called out, she’ll never be a puppet. Take it from a green archer.”

What can you say about this?
