Reasons Why Paolo Valenciano Is Leaving His Band ‘Salamin’ Revealed by the Singer
PAOLO VALENCIANO – Musician-director Paolo Valenciano revealed the reasons why he is leaving his band “Salamin”.
All the three children of celebrity couple Gary Valenciano and Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano have made their own names in the industry. Their eldest, Paolo Valenciano, is a director and a member of the band “Salamin”.
Gab Valenciano, also a musician like his older brother, is into dancing and modeling. He has performed several times on the ABS-CBN Sunday variety show ASAP. The couple’s daughter, Kiana Valenciano, is also into music like her father and brothers.
Meanwhile, it seems that Paolo Valenciano wants to work on fully now in another field than singing. Based on a recent report on Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub, he is leaving his band ‘Salamin’.
Paolo Valenciano revealed that the reason behind his decision to leave ‘Salamin’ is that he thinks he has to choose between directing and singing.
“I think the directing thing is a full time job. I had to choose… I’m more effective in the industry as a director,” he said.
Based on the report, the eldest son of Gary V also stressed that directing opened doors for him to work with different kinds of artists. He also acknowledged that it “pays better” and he is thinking about his family.

Paolo Valenciano admitted that he is not good at time management. According to the director-singer, his singing career suffered when he started directing.
“Hindi na ako nakaka-memorize ng songs, the quality of my voice was deteriorating kasi siyempre pag nag-sho-show sinisigawan ko lahat ng tao,” he said.
Based on the report, Paolo Valenciano expressed that when he works on a particular show, it is all that is in his mind. According to him, it is not sustainable for him to do both singing and directing.

The director-singer admitted that his mom, Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, is still hoping that he would change his mind and do otherwise. However, according to him, he really has a difficulty in managing his time.
