MOCHA USON – Resigned Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson filed her candidacy for Partylist Representative.

Recently, Mocha Uson left her post as the Assistant Secretary of the PCOO headed by Secretary Martin Andanar. Uson tags her resignation as a “sacrifice” for the office.

Mocha is one of the staunch supporters of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte. During her term as the PCOO Asec., she was involved in several controversies that prompted calls for her to resign from her position.

One of the controversies that really angered lots of people is the viral video of Mocha Uson and blogger Drew Blogger. Many were disappointed by the actions of the then-PCOO Assistant Secretary.

For her part, Uson stressed that it has nothing to do with the information drive for Federalism. According to her, it is also not in line with the draft of the Consultative Committee (ConCom).

Following her resignation from being the assistant secretary of PCOO, Uson expressed her openness to run for a position in the Congress or in the Senate in the upcoming 2019 mid-term elections.

According to her, she will listen to what her supporters would tell her regarding a political bid next year.

Amid the rumored Senate run, Uson filed her candidacy for Partylist Representative. Based on a report on PhilStar, she will run for partylist representative of AA Kasosyo.

The move of Mocha Uson to run for a government position in the 2019 mid-term elections gained different reactions from the people. There are those who are against it while there are those who support it.
