Alden Richards admits ‘Victor Magtanggol’ has difficulty to beat Ang Probinsyano.
VICTOR MAGTANGGOL – The lead star of GMA fantasy series ‘Victor Magtanggol’ Alden Richards admits that they are having a hard time beating Coco Martin’s Ang Probinsyano.
The FPJAP is mainly starred by Coco Martin and is undeniably one of the most well-loved series of every Filipinos airing now on its 3rd successful year. The actor plays the character of SPO2 Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay in the TV series.
In a previous report, Coco shared that the purpose of the shows is “to guide” the people, most especially the children. He even said, “Kahit hindi ako ‘yung artista, sana marami pang pelikula ni FPJ ang maging teleserye dahil talagang malapit sa puso ng Pilipino ang mga pelikula niya.”
Meanwhile, talking about the finale of FPJAP, the actor just revealed that as long as the people want the program, then, it will continue to air. And going against the Kapamilya top-rating program from their rival network GMA is the fantasy series Victor Magtanggol mainly starred by Pambansang Bae Alden Richards.
In a report from PEP, the Kapuso actor admitted that it is difficult to beat the Kapamilya series which falls on the same time slot as theirs. Accordingly, the GMA Survey Research revealed that the show’s rating was down despite the “Pamilya Roces” had its pilot episode last October 8, Monday.
The ratings were:
VICTOR MAGTANGGOL – 9.5 PROBINSYANO – 15.9
ONANAY – 10.1 NGAYON AT KAILANMAN – 11.5
PAMILYA ROCES – 7.4 HALIK – 7.9
However, based on the report, the actor just indicated, “Ako po, personally, I don’t really mind, kasi yung feedback po and reactions that we got from the audience, especially ang mga bata, yun po yung drive namin to be more passionate about our work.”
He also added that they could not control some things such as the ratings and the viewers and all that they could do is to do their best to bring quality episodes from the show.
