Robin Padilla cites late Senator Miriam Santiago for his decision in politics
Bad boy of Philippine cinema Robin Padilla cited his “ninang” Miriam Santiago for his decision not to aspire a position in the Senate.
He is one of the celebrities who is included in the list of most preferred to run as Senator. On the other hand, the recent Instagram post of the action star revealed his decision about this.
Robin shared video clips of the late Senator during her speech in the Senate. The videos showed how Santiago attacked the corruption in the country.
According to the actor, if his Ninang Miriam is still alive right now and she will learn that his friends are encouraging him to run, she will definitely oppose it.
“Sasabihin niya sa mukha ko mismo na hindi ka nababagay sa senado!” Robin Padilla related.
He added that Santiago would say to him that he is not fit to mingle with the people in the Senate.
“Hindi ka nababagay sa mga taong palara! Sa mga taong diniDios ang pera! Sa mga taong sumasamba sa Piso!” the actor anticipated that the late Senator would say this.
Furthermore, Robin said that his godmother in wedding would say, “that is no place for lions because that place is a crocodile farm.”
He also said that Santiago will tell him that he will be eaten alive in the Senate.
The action star also shared passages from Philippine heroes such as Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio and Apolinario Mabini.
