ANG PROBINSYANO – Actor Coco Martin revealed the “purpose” of the ABS-CBN primetime action-drama TV program FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
The FPJAP which is mainly starred by Coco Martin is on its third year of airing now. The Kapamilya actor plays the character of SPO2 Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay in the TV series.
Cardo is committed to protecting the welfare of the Filipino people and to defending those who are being taken advantage of by the powerful individuals.
Currently, Coco Martin’s character in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is with the Vendetta. They are in the pursuit of putting an end to the undesirable acts of corrupt politicians and personalities.
The desire of the FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano star to give justice to the death of his son led him to meet the other members of the Vendetta. Although they got different backgrounds, they arrived at a common ground which is to change the system in the country.
The latest episodes of FPJAP showed President Oscar Hidalgo, played by Rowell Santiago, discovering the truth behind the death of his family. He is now siding with the group of Cardo Dalisay.

Previously, Coco Martin broke his silence on the talks about the finale of FPJAP. According to him, as long as the viewers still want the program, it will continue to air.
Recently, at the ABS-CBN Ball 2018 where Coco Martin is one of the attendees, the FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano star revealed the “purpose” of the TV program.
According to Coco, the purpose of the TV program is “to guide” most especially the children. He stressed that the TV program is in line with the pursuit of giving the young ones the right values.
“As in inaaral namin ang bawat script at dialogue na nakaka-affect sa mga manunuod,” he said based on a report on Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH).
The ABS-CBN and the FPJ Film Productions recently renewed their contract. To this, Coco Martin is very happy and he also hopes that many more films of the late Fernando Poe Jr. would be aired on TV.
“Kahit hindi ako ‘yung artista, sana marami pang pelikula ni FPJ ang maging teleserye dahil talagang malapit sa puso ng Pilipino ang mga pelikula niya,” he said.
