On Monday (October 8, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.

PAGASA reported that the country would have a fair weather condition aside from the scattered thunderstorms during afternoon and evening.

The eastern section of Mindanao will be affected by the Easterlies blowing from the Pacific Ocean.

A new low-pressure area (LPA) was also spotted at 1,030 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, which was being monitored by PAGASA.

The weather disturbance has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone and expected to dissolve on the next few days.

The weather agency also announced that coastal waters around the nation would be calm and sea venture remains safe.
