Muslim Pinay Sharifa Akeel Wins Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Crown
MISS ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL 2018 – Muslim Pinay Sharifa Akeel was crowned as the Miss Asia Pacific International 2018.
Undeniably, when it comes to beauty contests, among the countries that usually participate is the Philippines. The representatives of the country do their best to bring pride and honor to PH and the Filipino people.
In fact, there were several beauty pageants including the Miss Universe wherein representatives from the Philippines finished as one of the runner-ups or even brought home the crown.
Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach marked the history of the Philippines when she brought home the Miss Universe 2015 crown. In 2017, Winwyn Marquez brought home the first Reina Hispanoamericana crown of the Philippines.
The victory of Pia and Winwyn are among the many triumphs of the country in the field of beauty pageantry. Usually, representatives from the Philippines never go unnoticed.
Recently, another Filipina brought pride and honor to the country. She is Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel.

Based on a recent report on Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), Sharifa Akeel, a Muslim Pinay, was crowned as the Miss Asia Pacific International 2018.
There were reportedly 50 candidates who vied for the crown in a pageant held on October 4 at Newport Performing Arts Theater. The 20-year-old PH representative is from Sultan Kudarat.
Based on the report, being a Muslin, Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Sharifa Akeel’s primary advocacy is the peace between Muslims and Christians. Aside from it, the beauty queen is also planning to pursue a teaching vocation.
