This viral police officer of Highway Patrol Group in Muntinlupa was arrested by his fellow officer after being charged with extortion.

Police officers are the ones in authority who are assigned to arrest those who break the laws. But what if they are the now the ones doing criminal acts?

Extortion is a crime. This is where one person forces another person to do something against his will, generally to give up money or other property.

This is through by threat of violence, property damage, damage to the person’s reputation, or extreme financial hardship.

It might involve the consent of the victim, however, that consent is illegally obtained.

And recently, a police officer, member of the Highway Patrol Group of Muntinlupa was charged with extortion as he was caught and arrested by his fellow officer.

Several bills have been recovered from him.
