Vic Sotto Describes Budget for His Sitcom with Maine Mendoza
VIC SOTTO – Eat Bulaga! host Vic Sotto spoke on the budget for his upcoming sitcom “Daddy’s Gurl” with Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza.
Undeniably, among the young stars closest to Bossing Vic Sotto is Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza. The latter rose to fame for her appearance in Eat Bulaga! where the former is one of the mainstay hosts.
Vic and Maine have worked together in projects before. They are also working together with Kapamilya actor Coco Martin for an upcoming movie entry for the Metro Manila Film Festival 2018.
Maine Mendoza, Coco Martin, and Vic Sotto are set to star in the movie Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles. It is both the first time of the Kapuso stars to work with the Kapamilya star in a movie.

Aside from their upcoming movie for the MMFF 2018, Vic Sotto and Maine Mendoza are also set to work together in a situational comedy show or sitcom. It’s entitled “Daddy’s Gurl” and among the other casts is Wally Bayola.
The last sitcom did by Vic is Hay Bahay. Speaking to Pep, the Kapuso actor said that after doing Hay Bahay, he decided to take a rest and he will only work on a sitcom if it is unique.
Describing his upcoming sitcom with Maine Mendoza, Vic Sotto said, “Kakaiba in the sense na production-wise, technical-wise, galing ako sa mga sitcom na studio, e. This time, on-location kami.”
Based on the report, Vic Sotto also spoke on the budget intended for Daddy’s Gurl, his upcoming sitcom with Maine Mendoza. According to the Kapuso actor, it’s going to have a “big budget”.

The Kapuso actor is not just one of the main stars in the upcoming sitcom. He is also the producer and he really wanted to be involved in the making of the project.
With regards to their director, Vic commended the talent of Direk Chris Martinez in the field of comedy. He stressed that he has worked with the filmmaker before and it’s his first time to work on a TV project.
“Parang pelikula talaga,” Bossing said.
Based on the report, Vic Sotto is set to play the role of the father of Maine Mendoza’s character in the sitcom. His wife will be played by comedian Wally Bayola who often portrays a female role.
“Sanay na siya, tanggap siya ng mga tao bilang babae. Nakagawa na nga ng pelikula yung mga Lola, e,” he said.
