The first-ever GMA’s The Clash winner is Golden Cañedo 

The Clash of GMA network has hailed its first-ever champion, Golden Cañedo from Cebu.

After several rounds of filtering the best among the best, the Pride of Cebu rose above all her contenders.

Golden reigned the stage of the Kapuso singing contest during the final round last September 30,

She amazed judges Ai-Ai Delas Alas, Christian Bautista and Lani Misalucha.

According to a report in GMA Entertainment, Lani has already felt the strong performance of the singer from Cebu through her first notes.

“Sa unang few notes, punong-puno ng puso. We are proud of you. You did a good job,” the Asia’s Nightingale said.

Golden Cañedo showed off her rendition of the classic song “Ngayon” of George Conseco.

She easily captured the admiration of the judges, as well as the members of the audience.

Golden was not just the first-ever to get the title of The Clash champion because this also comes with big prizes.

As the winner, she got P4 million worth of prizes including a house and lot, a contract with GMA, and P1 million, based on the report.

Aside from this, Golden is also set to star in the upcoming musical variety show of the Kapuso network. She will be joined by her fellow finalists in The Clash.

During the championship night, the tension was really felt as the five finalist were vying for the title.

Everyone in the studio approved the decision because her remarkable talent was indeed evident that night.

Even Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez joined the hyped up atmosphere as the winner was unveiled.
