The actress and comedian Ai Ai Delas Alas felt relieved that her good friend, country’s “King of Talk” Boy Abunda is now recovering from his illness after he recently underwent an aspiration of liver abscess.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumual, the “Comedy Queen” said that she is glad to know that Boy Abunda is now doing well after she talked to him.
“Nag-text kami. Ama, thank you so much sa VTR mo na ako ‘yung unang [pinasalamatan mo]. Nakakahiya pero sabi ko praise God na magaling na siya,” she said.
In a taped statement of Boy Abunda which was aired on “The Buzz” last Sunday, the 49-year-old actress was among the people whom she thanked for the support.
Ai Ai Delas Alas also said that she felt anxious because of Boy Abunda’s absence on the television due to his health condition. She only felt relieved when the TV-host texted her.
“Nung time na hindi pa siya nagte-text, na-stress ako. Then nung nag-text na siya, naiyak ako sa happiness. Finally, okay pala siya,” she further said.
Boy Abunda was last seen on television on August 8, 2014 and has since been absent from his programs, “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” and “The Buzz”. Although he did not give the exact date on when he will be going back to work, his friend and co-host Kris Aquino said that he might return this coming Sunday on “The Buzz”.
Kris Aquino has been hosting the “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” and “The Buzz” with Toni Gonzaga while Boy Abunda is still recuperating.
