Latest Updates About Typhoon Ompong Released By PAGASA
The state weather bureau PAGASA has released the latest updates about Typhoon Ompong affecting the current country’s weather condition.
On Friday (September 14, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued the latest updates about Typhoon Ompong.
PAGASA said that Ompong was still packing maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 255 kph.
Typhoon Ompong with an international name of “Mangkhut” was last spotted at 655 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon.
Ompong was expected to intensify as a super typhoon before making a landfall in Cagayan-Isabela on Saturday (September 15, 2018).

PAGASA also said that Cagayan Valley and the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Northern Luzon would experience heavy to intense rain, storm surges in coastal areas, and very strong winds.
The weather bureau has also advised the affected residents to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides because of the typhoon.
Fisherfolks were also advised not to venture because sea travel remains risky due to the rough waters.
Typhoon Mangkhut was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Sunday morning (September 16, 2018).
