Class Suspensions On Thursday & Friday (Sept 13 & 14) Due To Typhoon Mangkhut

Several local government units have declared class suspensions in some parts of the country due to effects of Typhoon Mangkhut.

The local government of Cagayan declared the suspensions of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) on Thursday (September 13) and Friday (September 14) due to the bad weather condition brought by Typhoon Ompong.

Typhoon Mangkhut was expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Wednesday afternoon (September 12, 2018) and would bring rains in most parts of the country.

Class Suspensions

Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba has declared the cancellation of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in the city including graduate school studies due to the weather system.

Mamba had discussed the matter during a meeting with the disaster risk-reduction officials at the provincial capitol.

“The governor’s action is necessary to ensure safety to villagers especially those staying near flood-prone and landslide-prone areas,” Provincial Information Officer Rogelio Sending Jr. said.

Class Suspensions

The cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in Ilocos Norte have been also suspended due to the possible harm caused by Typhoon Ompong.

Central Luzon

Apalit, Pampanga

Masantol, Pampanga (Sept. 13-14)

Northern Luzon

Province of Ilocos Sur  (Sept. 13-14)

Mangkhut has maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 255 kph after it was last spotted 1,190 kilometers east-northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
