Chinese Flags Raised At House Of Representatives

Chinese flags are flown at the House of Representatives.

Raised at the House of Representatives were Chinese flags for Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China’s arrival.

China had been one of the controversial countries in the Philippines because of the South China Sea or the West Philippine Sea.

In a previous article, the arbitration ruling sided on the Philippines under former President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III leadership.

The ruling was released during the first months of Rodrigo Duterte as the country’s president.

And on Monday, September 10, Chinese flags were raised at the House of Representatives for the arrival of Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.

According to a report from GMA, the visitor was accompanied by a delegation.

Edith Cardenas, director of the House Inter-Parliamentary Relations Service, said that what has done is just normal. It is to honor the high-ranking foreign dignitaries visiting the country.

In return, Philippine government officials received the same treatment when they also visit other countries.

Upon His Excellency Ji Bingxuan’s arrival, he met Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo along with China’s National People’s Congress’ (NPC) ranking members.

They have discussed the strengthening of the relationship between the two countries in the following fields: agriculture, trade, infrastructure, education, and culture and the arts.

“Siguro sasusunod, dapathindi lang Chinese, kundi kung sino yung bisita natin dito ay dapat gawin yan para hindi na masabi na hindi lang tayo nagbibigay ng special attention sa China,” AKO BICOL party-list Rodel Batocabe said as per the report.

Other members with His Excellency are Liao Xiaojun, NPC Standing Committee Member and Vice Chairman of NPC Agriculture and Rural Committee, Hon. Cong Bin, NPC Standing Committee member and Vice Chairman of the NPC Constitution and Law Committee, and Hon. Lu Peijun, NPC Standing Committee member and Vice Chairman of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee.
