Breaking news: House Committee deemed impeachment complaints against 7 SC justices as sufficient in form.
BREAKING NEWS – The impeachment complaints against SC CJ Teresita de Castro and 6 associate justices sufficient in form with votes 21-0.
As reported by Rappler, the hearing for SC CJ Teresita de Castro and 6 associate justices conducted by the House Committee kicked off hours ago.
This is after 4 opposition lawmakers versus the 7 SC justices filed impeachment complaints.
They are accusing the SC justices for violating the “Constitution and betrayal of public trust for removing ex-CJ Maria Lourdes Sereno via quo warranto.”
Rep Vicente Veloso has indicated, “I see that the complaints have been verified. Therefore it is the position of this representation, mister chair, that in my view, the complaint is sufficient in form.”
Thus, deeming the House Committee to find the impeachment complaints as “sufficient in form”, with 21-0 vote, against the 7 Supreme Court justices.
