2018 National Heroes’ Day Message By President Duterte, Who Also Led The Event’s Ceremony At The Heroes’ Funeral
NATIONAL HEROES’ DAY – On the commemoration of National Heroes’ Day this Monday (August 27), President Duterte made a message for the national holiday.
The National Heroes’ Day in the Philippines is celebrated every last Monday of August. This is the day where we celebrated the heroes who put their lives on the line for the future of the country and its people. Here we celebrate events that placed its mark on Filipino history.
For this special day, President Rodrigo Duterte made a message, which was later posted by various news sites on Twitter.

In his message, he honored the heroes for their bravery and patriotism who fought for the country’s freedom and laid the foundations in which Philippines proudly stands on. Duterte acknowledged the everyday heroes, mainly citizens who work for their families and made contributions for the advancement of the country.
At the end of his message, he encourages the people to emulate the heroes’ selfless ways in their daily lives.
