VICKI BELO – Prominent cosmetic doctor Vicki Belo shared some “beauty-boosting” recipes and tips both on men and women.

“You are what you eat”. This is what a famous tagline from an advertisement which is definitely true. The food we intake has scientific proofs that it really affects our body and our health.

And that is why people are advised to be mindful of what to eat to reduce health problems. Celebrity doctor then, Dra. Vicki Belo has shared some tips and healthy recipes to heed if one wants to be beautiful.

Breakfast Eggs in Spicy Tomato Sauce

1 tbsp olive oil
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, chopped
½ onion
2 ½ garlic cloves, minced
Cumin, a dash
Salt, to taste
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 c tomatoes
½ c water
Organic eggs
Chopped cilantro

Procedure:
Saute bell peppers, jalapeños, onions, garlic, cumin in olive oil, until onions are translucent in a gratin dish.

Add fresh tomatoes and water. Boil and simmer until thickened.

Make holes on the thickened sauce and cracked eggs into it. Do not stir. Cover and simmer.

Sprinkle eggs with salt, pepper, and cilantro.

The eggs, according to Belo, aid in tissue repair, help moisturize skin, tighten pores and reduce oiliness. Meanwhile, tomatoes improve skin’s natural SPF, protect it, and keeps skin smooth.

Baked Salmon with Yogurt

1 c Greek yogurt
1 tsp lemon zest
1/8 tsp parsley and dill, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp parmesan cheese
¼ c breadcrumbs
½ kg salmon, preferably wild-caught

Procedure:
Preheat oven 375°F (190°C).

Squeeze lemon and sprinkle its zest over salmon put in a parchment-lined baking dish. Top it with yogurt and sprinkle breadcrumbs and parmesan.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Salmon slows down the aging process improves skin elasticity and lessens the appearance of fine lines while the yogurt is for collagen production.
