Heavy Rainfall Warning In The Following Areas Raised By PAGASA

The state weather bureau PAGASA has issued a heavy rainfall warning over several parts of the country to raise the awareness of the public.

On Monday (August 13, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update in the country.

The weather agency has issued a color-coded rainfall advisory in some parts of the country due to persistent rain.

PAGASA raised a yellow warning level over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas (Nasugnu, Tuy, Lian, Calatagan, Calaca, Lemery, and Laurel).

Yellow Rainfall Advisory – 7.5-15mm rains within one hour, up 1 meter high of possible storm surge, and flash floods in low-lying areas are expected.

Orange Rainfall Advisory – intense rainfall, flood threat, 1 to 3 meter high of possible storm surge, and flood threat are possible.

Red Rainfall Warning – torrential rainfall, serious flooding, over 3-meter high of possible storm surge, and evacuation to safe zones are advised.
